| Bruma’s time in Turkey could be coming to an end |
Manchester United and Southampton have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Galatasaray winger Bruma, who along with three more players recently, ‘refused to train’ in a protest against manager Igor Tudor. The Galatasaray boss, who only took charge in February, has come under scrutiny after a poor run of results, leaving the club fourth in the table.
As per the Turkish newspaper Fanatik, it seems that Bruma’s time in Turkey could be coming to an end, as the winger is trying to force his way out of the club, meaning good news for both United and Southampton. The Premier League clubs have kept an eye on the 22-year-old, who has netted 10 goals in 26 league appearances this season.
However, the Red Devils have an edge in this pursuit, as Galatasaray sporting director Levent Nasifoglu confirmed that Bruma is aiming for a move to Old Trafford.
“Bruma aims to play for Manchester United, but if he wants this, he must change certain things,” Nazifoglu told Turkish-Football.com.
The Portugal under-21 star, who is known for his speed, has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent seasons. In fact, Bruma had himself revealed in December last year that he would “love” to work under Jose Mourinho, and it appears he is desperate to move to the Theatre of Dreams. Nevertheless, Tottenham, Leicester City, and Southampton will be fighting to sign the pacey winger in order to bolster their attack.
Bruma, who is evaluated to cost around £17 million, has a little over a year left on his current deal, and Galatasaray would be expected to cash in on him when the window opens, instead of losing the winger in a free transfer in 2018 after his contract expires.
