Unsettled Kyle Walker May Leave Spurs For £35m

Kyle Walker currently reported to be unsettled at Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur are definitely one of the clubs that seems to be on a rise since the past couple of seasons. The club from London is on the way to its highest finish since 1963, and will be hoping to improve even more by next year.

However, Mauricio Pochettino has indicated that there will be certain changes in the squad, as the Spurs manager intends on improving his side for the upcoming season. With Kyle Walker currently reported to be unsettled at Spurs, the England right-back could be the very first player to leave the club in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Evening Standard, Tottenham will be considering any offers made in excess of £35m for Walker. The right-back has reportedly held talks with manager Mauricio Pochettino about his future with the club, and is said to be fully aware of Manchester City’s strong interest in him. Walker, who is also wanted by Manchester United, could very well double his £70,000-a-week contract if he makes a swap.

Though Spurs, who were initially reluctant to sell the right-back in the early phase of the season, now seem to have altered their decision. Nevertheless, if Walker is to be transferred this summer, a minimum bid of £35million would be
required to sign the England international.

The report also claimed that despite Spurs’ decision to keep hold of all their key players for the upcoming season, they may have found a substitute for Walker, in the form of Kieran Trippier.

It is also believed that Pochettino had warned his players not to deviate from their game last week because of interests from some of the top clubs.
